We are very excited to celebrate (Getsports24.com) – our 11th year anniversary with the people of the community. Our fans have helped us contribute $2.5 million to area charities focused on youth and education. On the Champion’s Tour this week is the SAS Championship, held September 30th through the 2nd of October at the Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, North Carolina in the United States. The tournament prize purse if $2,100,000 and last year Russ Cochran took home the title and $315,000. Next week on the Tour, from October 7th to the 9th, the Insperity Championship will be held at the Woodlands Country Club in The Woodlands, Texas, with a $1,700,000 purse, $255,000 of it for the first placed golfer. Fred Couples was last year's champion.
Another year, another round! The 2011 SAS Championship PGA Golf tournament will be held from September 26th until October 2nd at the Prestonwood Country Club. This tournament is presented by Bloomberg Businessweek. Profits benefit the YMCA WeBuildPeople Campaign through the Triangle Community Foundation. This year’s line up will include 2011 Champions Tour winner John Huston, 2010 US Ryder Cup team Captain Corey Pavin, 14 time PGA tour winner Kenny Perry, 8 time victor Brad Faxon, and 1996 PGA Tour winner Mark Brooks. There will be nine first time participants in the tour as well. Wish them all good luck and be out there at 8am for the start of this series! Tickets are $86 a person.
